How to activate your Workday integration with Localyze

A step-by-step guide to connect your Workday HRIS to Localyze.

By connecting your Workday HRIS to Localyze, you can pull relevant employee data from your HRIS to Localyze.

Prerequisites

  1. You have Super Admin access to your company's account

  2. You are logged in to the Localyze Platform with your admin credentials

  3. You have Workday System Administrator access to create users and modify security policies

Before You Begin: Configure Workday

Step 1: Create Integration System User

  1. In Workday, search for "Create Integration System User"

  2. Enter account information (username and password)

  3. Click OK and save the credentials

Step 2: Create Security Group

  1. Search for "Create Security Group"

  2. Select "Integration System Security Group" as the type

  3. Add your integration system user to this group

Step 3: Set Permissions

  1. Edit the security group permissions

  2. Grant View access to these domains:

    • Worker Data

    • Human Resources Information

    • Staffing

  3. Click OK

Step 4: Activate Changes

  1. Search for "Activate Pending Security Policy Changes"

  2. Approve the security policy changes

  3. Wait 5-10 minutes for changes to take effect

Connect to Localyze

Step 1

In your Localyze dashboard, navigate to Settings and click on Integrations.

Step 2

From the available integrations, click on the Activate button on the Workday tab

Step 3

In the dialogue box, enter:

Web Service Endpoint URL:

  1. In Workday, go to "Public Web Services"

  2. Find "Human Resources" web service

  3. Click "View SDL" and search for "wsdl:service"

  4. Copy the HTTPS URL (starts with https://wd2-impl-services1.workday.com/ccx/)

Workday Tenant Identifier:

  • Your organization code (visible in your Workday URL)

Credentials:

  • Use the integration system user credentials your created in the "Configure Workday" section.

Click Connect, and done! Your integration is active.
