Expat centres

The so-called expat centres in several of the larger Dutch cities aim to help internationals and their families upon their arrival and during their stay in the Netherlands. Each centre is a one-stop-shop service provider to a designated region, giving their assistance a unique, local touch. You can, amongst other things, make an appointment at an expat centre to receive a residence endorsement sticker, to have your biometric data taken, or to collect your residence document. Other services include the town hall registration, tax and schooling advice, and a return visa. Please take note not all expat centres provide their services free of charge.

IND desks

If you would rather not pay to make use of the services provided by an expat centre, then an IND desk would be your best alternative. You can instead make an appointment at an IND desk for the collection of your residence document or to have your biometrics taken.

You can find a list of IND desks below:

IND Desk Amsterdam

Pieter Calandlaan 1
1065 KH Amsterdam

IND Desk 's-Hertogenbosch

For biometrics:

Building 'De Magistraat'
Magistratenlaan 222
5223 MA 's-Hertogenbosch

For residence permits, endorsement stickers, and return visas:

Leeghwaterlaan 14
5223 BA โ€™s-Hertogenbosch

IND Desk The Hague

Rijnstraat 8
2515 XP Den Haag

IND Desk Zwolle

Building 'La Grande Vitesse'
Zuiderzeelaan 43-51
8017 JV Zwolle

Important: For your appointment at an expat centre or IND desk, always make sure to bring a valid proof of identity. If any other documents are needed, your case manager can inform you. In addition, make sure to be well on time for your appointment, to check the route description if you travel by car or public transport, and to inquire into office accessibility, for instance, if you are visually impaired or have a wheelchair.ย
