An employee hired in Poland for the first time, in the calendar year obtains the right to leave at the end of each month of work, in the amount of 1/12 of the leave.

The employee acquires the right to subsequent leaves in each subsequent calendar year.

Therefore, in case of 26 holidays available annually, the employee acquires 2,16 days of holiday after each month. (26 days / 12 months = 2,16)

Amount of vacation leave

The length of leave is:

  • 20 days - if the employee has been employed for less than 10 years,

  • 26 days – if the employee has been employed for at least 10 years.
