In order to complete your registration (and to receive the tax ID and open your bank account afterwards), you will need to provide the landlord confirmation ('Wohnungsgeberbestätigung'). It is a specific document (different from the rental agreement) to be signed by your landlord and you will usually receive it upon your move-in.
You can book the registration appointment already for when you receive the landlord confirmation, however, you cannot attend the appointment without it. The appointment can only take place on / after the official move-in date as indicated in the rental agreement.
Please make sure that you have all the documents in place before attending the appointment as you will need all of them in order to receive the registration confirmation.
As indicated in your Localyze profile in the pipeline steps ‘Fill registration form’ and ‘Prepare registration appointment’, those documents usually are the following:
your own passport
your family member(s)’ passport(s) (if they are relocating with you)
rental contract
landlord confirmation
registration form
