When you first move to Germany, your 'Schufa' (credit score) history is basically empty, and some landlords do not accept that. Naturally, people who have never lived in Germany before, do not have any history and might experience issues with the lack thereof, but many also don't encounter any problems. During your housing search, you can reach out to the housing providers / landlords and ask them about their requirements. If 'Schufa' is not mentioned in their list of requirements, you should be fine in that regard.
