It is advisable that you change your passport first, and then apply for the permit with your new passport.

Please keep in mind: In case a passport is renewed, an existing permit needs to be changed as well as the permit is bound to a specific passport number. In order to do so, your local immigration office must be contacted with the request and following documents:
