With most embassies, your family can apply for their visas at the same time as you. However, most embassies require separate appointments for each individual applicant.

If your family members cannot apply for a visa at the same time as yourself, some embassies may still allow them to apply for a family reunion visa shortly after you have obtained your own visa (even if you are yet to receive your German residence permit).
