The Labor Market (Pre-)Approval (short: LMA) or Certificate of Acknowledgement by the Bundesagentur fĂŒr Arbeit is a required document for work visa and residence permit applications. It states whether or not, in the eyes of the labor market agency (Bundesagentur fĂŒr Arbeit, short: AfA), you are allowed to work in Germany. The final decision is up to the embassy / immigration office which is why it is only called 'pre'-approval in the first instance.
The form that is used to apply for the pre-approval is referred to with LMA form, Employment Declaration, or ErklÀrung zum BeschÀftigungsverhÀltnis.
Localyze will prepare and file this document for you, so there is no need to worry about filling it out yourself.
