Note: There are several taxes to be paid throughout the immigration process. Most common taxes are related to:

  • Renewals (paid by employee)

  • Initial work permit authorisations (paid by employer at the beginning of the process)

  • TIE for Third-Country Nationals (paid by employee)

  • NIE for Europeans (paid by employee)

The forms that apply to you will be visible in the respective steps of your process / To-Do list.

Generally, you can fill forms online, print, sign, and bring all 3 pages to a bank (we can recommend Caixabank or Sabadell) to pay in cash (or your personal bank to have it taken out of your account).

Usually, the bank keeps one copy, the government official (funcionario) at your appointment cita will take one copy, and the last copy will be for your records.

Note: Some banks will only let you pay a tasa at certain times of the day (usually before 11 in the morning).

You can also pay a tasa through an ATM. If you pay at an ATM make sure you make a copy of the receipt for your records before you submit it as part of your application!
