Sometimes it takes a while to collect all documents. Consult this article if you are wondering when to book the appointment at your embassy.

πŸ’‘ The first step towards getting your visa is to book an appointment at the embassy or visa appointment provider.

For the Blue Card candidates: family members are allowed to apply for the visa at the same time as you. In some cases, this means you can submit the required documents together in one appointment, some embassies still require a separate appointment for the family members(ex. the USA, Russia, etc). Please read the specific requirements of the embassy in your country to find out how to handle it best, or check with your case manager.

We do normally recommend arranging an appointment for 4–8 weeks from now in order to have enough time to prepare your documents(LMA, translation of required documents, legalization, etc.).

Is no appointment available?

Please check the website every day at 12 pm (German time) as new appointments are regularly released.

In some countries like Turkey, India, Egypt, UK appointments are being outsourced to third-party services like VFS, VisaMetric, and iDATA, and the service fee is involved (please note Localyze is not covering the fees or any expenses you might have during the relocation process).

List of the countries where the waiting time for the appointment takes a long period (make sure you sign up on the waiting list):

  • Tunisia ( up to 7 months)

  • Greece ( up to 6 months)

  • Ghana ( from 3 up to 6 months)

  • Indonesia ( up to 6-12 months)

  • Italy ( up to 5 months)

  • Mexico ( up to 5 months)

  • Morocco ( up to 12 months)

  • France ( up to 5 months)
